Overthinker uses a unique relational note model: every note can also act as a tag, and tagging one note with another creates a parent–child connection. The same tags can be attached to individual paragraphs—not only whole notes.
A local-first tool for externalizing thought and synthesizing ideas. Use it as a journal for reflection and mental clarity, a personal knowledge management system, a space for brainstorming and explaining your ideas, or a way to build a fuller picture and explore a subject in depth.

Embrace the big picture by working with notes as abstractions on a graph canvas. Connect, move and reorganize them directly; each action reshapes the underlying note structure—an interface guided by Alan Kay’s idea: “Doing with Images Makes Symbols.”
Bring scattered—even opposing—ideas into a coherent external whole. That outer wholeness supports inner integration, while inner integration gives direction to what you see. Together, they help you break the loop and act.
The current Windows build makes Overthinker’s core concepts tangible. Its implementation, interface and workflows are still being explored and will change.
macOS and Linux builds are in progress.
